Gamesa Wind Turbines, the Indian subsidiary of Gamesa, bagged an order from GAIL India, for supplying 24.7 MW of wind power turbines to the project in Palani, Tamil Nadu.
The project is expected to be commissioned by March 2012. Gamesa has received an order for 29 units of G58-850 KW (24.7 MW) machines for the project. This is the first PSU order for Gamesa which is aggressively working towards expanding its operations in the Indian wind energy market.
