An American company Trinity Structural Towers Inc has filed a breach of contract law suit against Suzlon Wind Energy Corporation charging the latter with failure to purchase wind towers.
Trinity has filed the suit in the District Court of Dallas, it is learnt. Suzlon had agreed to buy 80-metre wind towers worth $378 million in 2010 and 2011. Subsequent amendments to the agreement raised the purchase value by $124 million — making the deal worth over half a billion dollars.
