The Indian Institute of Technology – Madras has announced a five-day course on large scale, grid connected solar photo voltaic projects beginning April 23. For Rs 20,000, project developers from conventional or renewable energy sector, people from electricity utilities and other electrical professionals can learn about the entire gamut of the solar industry, starting from resource assessment and plant performance to design and economics of a large-scale solar power plant. “Basic knowledge of electrical engineering is required,” IIT-M says.
